Advent Diary – 3rd December 2015

I have read this day’s reading a few time and I am finding my feelings very difficult to put into words. I’ve waited and looked forward to a John Donne poem and ‘Annunciation’ is such a rich poem, I find it as a soft storm in my mind. The image is clear, Mary – our Theotokos – sits on the ground, close to her time of giving birth, holding a box in Her hands. In this she nurtures all human life, as seeds. In the night sky, she is – her vision is – surrounded by a spiral of stars.

These stars are the great works of the Divine – GOD – and in each star contains His spark that we need to ignite our lives. We are in good hands and we only need to trust in Him completely.
